According to recommendations from the American Dental Association, it is important to see your general dentist a minimum of once every six months to ensure proper functionality and oral health. Routine oral health check-ups are essential to prevent the development of possible dental problems.
General dentistry services typically include – but are not limited to:
Teeth Cleanings
At Nord Dental, our dental hygienists are exceptional. They are compassionate, kind, thorough, and efficient. They help assess the health of their patient’s teeth and gums to make the best recommendations for their specific conditions. They utilize specialized tools and products to ensure that patients receive quality oral health care.
Dental Fillings and Dental Bonding
A filling is a procedure used to treat a cavity. Typically, the dentist removes the area of decay on the tooth and then fills in the space with dental filling material. Dental bonding is basically the same procedure but is a more common term when used to describe a filling on a front tooth. Since the materials used are designed to replicate the durability and look of natural teeth, they also may be used to repair broken or chipped teeth.
Dental Crowns
A crown is a tooth shaped cap that gets cemented over a cracked or broken tooth. Teeth that already have large fillings that develop further issues, or teeth that have had a root canal may also need a crown.
Other general dentistry services include dentures, partials, bridges, implant restorations, root canal therapy, and more – call 309-663-9421 to schedule an appointment with us!
