Meet Dr. Annie Nord, D.M.D.

A native of the Bloomington-Normal community, Dr. Anna (“Annie”) Nord has deep roots in our area. She graduated as Valedictorian from University High School and earned Magna Cum Laude honors from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Dr. Nord went on to graduate Cum Laude from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, where she received the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship Award and special recognition for her work in Implant and Restorative dentistry. In 2017, she proudly took over the practice of Dr. Daniel Milligan, continuing his legacy of excellence while welcoming new patients to the Nord Dental family.

Dr. Nord believes in staying at the forefront of dental science. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including:

• Illinois State Dental Society
• McLean County Dental Society
• Academy of General Dentistry

Her passion for service extends beyond Illinois. Dr. Nord has traveled to Honduras and Jamaica on medical mission trips to provide free dental care to underserved communities, and she volunteered at a dental clinic in the Galapagos Islands while studying abroad.

Life Outside the Office

When she isn’t caring for patients, Annie is a busy mother of four who loves spending time outdoors. You might find her golfing, playing tennis, fishing, or camping with her husband and kids. An athlete at heart, she was a member of the USTA National Tumbling and Trampoline Team for eight years and is currently a dedicated pool player.

Do you see children?

Absolutely. As a mother of four, Dr. Nord loves working with kids and making their dental visits fun and fear-free. We recommend bringing children in for their first cleaning around age three, or sooner if you have concerns.
